Dearcroft Montessori School classically structured and fully equipped Montessori classrooms, immersed in a naturally inspired setting, our students experience an exciting, well balanced curriculum.

Located on an historic estate within walking minutes of the town, Lake Ontario and community parks, Dearcroft blends into pleasant, treed surroundings on an attractive two acre campus. Spacious classrooms, large windows, and a unique building design combine to provide a bright, cheerful indoor learning environment. The outdoor area is equally pleasant with a variety of play equipment and ample space for games, climbing and other sports activities.

As a second generation Montessori educator, a Montessori parent and having been a Montessori child himself, Dearcroft and West Wind director, Gordon Phippen, has a unique perspective. Within the schools, small by choice (combined present enrollment of approximately 170), we feature a strong community atmosphere and intimately scaled learning environment. Supported by like-minded parents and dedicated staff, we have developed a remarkable learning community. With a low student to teacher ratio, our staff enjoy ideal conditions for helping our students to achieve their personal and academic goals. In close cooperation, all members of our school community recognize the strength of an outstanding team and are appreciative of the opportunity to work together in such a creative and exciting learning environment.
